8. Connection
The mixer and all connected devices must be switched off when the power supply is connected.
Before connecting the appliance or making any changes to the connections make sure that
the power plug is unplugged and that all TRIM, channel, MAIN MIX and ALT 3-4 controls are
set to minimum. Before connecting the appliance, turn off all other equipment linked to the
mixing desk.
Make sure that all electrical connections and connection cables between the different devices
and any extension cables comply with the regulations and the operating instructions.
To connect the outputs, use shielded cables only. The use of other cables might cause inter-
ferences.
To avoid distortions or mismatches which could damage the device, only connect devices
with the same connection type.
For this, observe also the connection data in the section “Technical Data”.
Cables are important connection links in the system, therefore use high-quality, wear-resi-
stant cables with high-quality plugs. Do not install the input/output cables of the mixing desk
directly next to mains cables. If necessary, cross these cables at a right angle in order to keep
interference as low as possible.
