7)LED recording level indicator
The balancer LED indicates the level of the output signal. Use the SOURCE switches (2-TRACK, ALT 3-4, MAIN
MIX) to select the signal to be displayed at the recording level indicator. A level around “0dB” should be achieved.
Peak values may exceed this value. However, the yellow or red LED (CLIP) should never light up. This would lead
to overmodulation and distortion.
8) MODE switch
Use this switch to set the SOLO switch mode.
SOLO position of the MODE switch (switch not pressed)
In the SOLO position, single channels or groups of channels can be pre-heard at the headphones. use the SOLO
switches (mono channel / stereo channel / AUX SEND 1 + 2) to select the channel/s to be pre-heard at the head-
phone. The MAIN SOLO LED is permanently lit when a channel was selected with the SOLO switch. The signal
is picked up behind the channel facer / AUX SEND MASTER control (POST-fader).
The headphones, CONTROL ROOM outputs and balancer display only provide the SOLO sig-
nal now. All other signals are hidden.
The SOLO switches are in the mono channel, stereo channel and AUX SEND channel.
MAIN PFL position of the MODE switch (switch pressed)
Attention! Turn the PHONES/CTRL R control to the left stop before pressing the MODE
switch. Since the SOLO signal is taken right from in front of the channel fader here, the level
at the headphones and at the CONTROL ROOM outputs may be too loud. There is a danger of
damaging your hearing or the devices connected to the CONTROL ROOM outputs.
This switch position mainly serves for setting the channel input levels. Use the SOLO switch to select the channel
to be set at the balancer display. The PFL LED is permanently lit when a channel was selected with the SOLO
switch. The signal is picked up before the channel fader.
Only the level can be monitored at the balancer display. A level around “0dB” should be achieved. The mono
channels can be set with the TRIM control. The stereo channels do not have any TRIM control. However, they can
be controlled via the three equalizer controls.
The right balancer display is not active in this switch position.
The headphones, CONTROL ROOM outputs and balancer display only provide the SOLO sig-
nal now. All other signals are hidden.
