15.1.2.2
Manual trigger
You give the trigger yourself, by pressing [TILT] (see joystick operation). Xciter ignores the wait time of a
scene; only the fade time is used to fade between scenes.
15.1.2.3
None (no trigger)
This trigger mode inhibits the trigger. The sequence remains in its current step until it is activated again or
overtaken by a sequence from another cue.
15.1.2.4
BPM trigger
Xciter triggers the sequence automatically but you specify the trigger speed or tempo, expressed in BPM
(Beats Per Minute).
1.
Tap [C/F] several times to record a new BPM rate. The default is 60 BPM or one beat per second.
2.
Use general purpose number keys 1-15 to set a beat count. This number determines how many beats it
takes before a trigger occurs. In this case, it actually divides the BPM to create a slower rate.
15.1.2.5
Audio trigger
When you choose the audio trigger, the sequence will react to beats from the four band audio filter. The
audio levels are set globally in the advanced cue dialog.
1.
Use general purpose number keys 1-15 to set a beat count. This number determines how many beats it
takes before a trigger occurs. In this case it actually divides the beats from the audio filter to create a slower
rate.
2.
Use general purpose keys 17-20 to select/deselect the bands in the audio filter. The symbols S, L, M and H
appear next to the audio option to indicate which bands are selected. You will get the best result with only
one audio band selected.
15.1.2.6
One-shot freeze step mode
Xciter’s internal clock triggers the sequence. It uses the scene times and fades you specified. Instead of
looping back to the first step, it freezes at the last step.
15.1.2.7
One-shot release step mode
Xciter’s internal clock triggers the sequence. It uses the scene times and fades you specified. Instead of
looping back to the first step, it inhibits itself after the last step.
