Backup
1.
Select the show you wish to back up from the drop-down list next to the backup button.
Only shows with content are displayed.
2.
Press the ‘Backup’ button.
3.
A file dialog appears. The application will use the system date and time for a default name. You can change
this to another name.
4.
Press ‘Save’ to continue or ‘Cancel’ if you want to stop there.
5.
The application will start backing up files. Do not interrupt this process until the application reports a
successful backup, or the backup file will definitely be corrupt.
Note: Unless you have changed to a different folder, the file is stored in ‘My documents’ by default.
Note: The show and patch files are backed up by default, because the options are checked when you first
use the backup/restore. You can choose which information to include in the backup file by
checking/unchecking the options on the right-hand side of the application window.
17.4.2
Restore
1.
Select a show number from the drop-down list next to the restore button. Shows that already have content
are marked with #.
2.
Press the button ‘Restore’.
If the show you selected already has content, the application will ask whether you want to replace it.
3.
Press ‘Yes’ to confirm or ‘No’ to stop there.
4.
A file dialog appears. The contents of the last used folder (were you made a backup) is displayed. Select
the backup file you wish to restore.
5.
Press ‘Open’ to use this file or ‘Cancel’ to stop there.
If the backup file was made in another version of the backup/restore application, some conversion may be
executed.
6.
The application will start restoring. Do not interrupt this process until the application reports a successful
restore, or the restore will be incomplete and the show will definitely be corrupt.
Note: The show and patch files are restored by default, because the options are checked when you first
use the backup/restore. You can choose which information to include in the restore operation by
checking/unchecking the options on the right-hand side of the application window.
