Chapter 15.
Run mode features
Before we continue with the run mode features, please make sure that you have programmed some
sequences, background scenes and playback scenes. You need at least 5 of each to properly follow the
examples in this chapter.
15.1
Basic cue dialog
If you are still in the programmer, press [ESC] to exit. That should bring you back to the intro screen.
1.
Press [CUE] in the intro screen.
Xciter displays the playback controls on the fader LCD and defaults to cue page one. It is waiting for you to
launch a cue or playback.
2.
Use the page keys if you want to go to another cue page.
Use the general purpose number keys to select a cue.
The button of the activated cue starts blinking. The basic dialog is the first screen to pop up. It shows you
the sequences that are currently assigned to the selected cue. This dialog also gives you the controls you
need to manipulate sequences live.
3.
Press [CUE] again if you wish to exit cue mode.
To prevent you from accidentally leaving the cue dialog, Xciter asks for a confirmation.
Press {Yes} to leave cue or {No} to stay.
Upon leaving cue, Xciter kills all running processes (BG scene, sequences, and override playbacks) and
goes back to the intro screen. All fixtures get library default values.
15.1.1
Activate – deactivate sequences
You can activate and deactivate each sequence separately. The on/off state is temporary, meaning the
sequence will default back to on the next time you enter cue mode. To prevent this you can store the on/off
state of the sequences inside the cue by pressing [STORE] in the cue dialog.
Press the softkey on the left of the sequence to toggle it on/off. A blinking softkey indicates a running
sequence. A constantly illuminated softkey indicates an inhibited sequence. An unlit softkey means the
sequence is not running.
