5-23
4. With Load Check disabled, lift the rated load a foot or two off the ground.
5. Set C05.01 equal to 09.
6. Press and hold the Hoist (up) command button on the pendant or radio for full speed operation
(60 Hz).
NOTE:
The Load Check set up process can be temporarily paused by lowering the load block to
the ground (suspended), then pressing and holding the Hoist (up) command button at full
speed until the Load Check set up process is complete.
7. When the Load Check set up process finishes its calculations, the drive will decelerate the load
to indicate that the set up calibration is complete (LC dn).
8. Press the Lower (down) command to complete the Load Check set up process.
9. Lift the rated load numerous times to ensure there are no unwanted LC alarms. If an LC alarm is
detected, increase the LC Margins (C5.05 and/or C5.07).
NOTE:
If an application requires Load Check to be bypassed, an MFDI may be programmed to
69.
NOTE:
If an error occurs during the Load Check set up, the load being lifted causes current or
torque to exceed 250%. Increase holding time and testing time, and decrease the load
weight.
Clearing a Load Check Alarm (LC) (V/f and OLV operation)
A Load Check alarm can be reset based on the setting of LC Alarm Action (C05.02).
When C05.02 = 1, 2, or 4:
Program H01.xx = 69 (LC Bypass), then cycle the MFDI to clear the
Load Check Alarm (LC).
NOTE:
Only lowering is allowed.
When C05.02 = 3:
Program H01.xx = 3F (Fault Reset), then cycle the MFDI to clear the Load
Check Alarm (LC).
NOTE:
Drive fault.
