Warning
The AnaConDa device contains a hydrophobic bacterial/viral filter.
This means that humidification of the inspired gases will increase
the ventilation pressures. Humidification of the inspired gases
while using the AnaConDa system is therefore contraindicated.
The system is composed of
- elisa 300 or elisa 500
- AnaConDa and AnaConDa-S (Anaesthetic Conserving Device)
- syringe pump
- anaesthetic gas monitor and
- anaesthetic gas absorption/scavenging (anaesthesic gas filter or AGSS)
It is intended for administering the volatile anaesthetic agents isoflurane and sevo -
flurane to patients through mechanical ventilation.
When working with the AnaConDa system, the minimum tidal volume applied
may not be less than 350 ml.
When working with the AnaConDa-S system, the minimum tidal volume applied
may not be less than 300 ml.
Continuous operation of elisa 300 / elisa 500 is allowed in combination with iso-
flurane and sevoflurane.
Warning
elisa 300 / elisa 500 may only be operated in conjunction with the
anaesthetic agents sevoflurane and isoflurane.
Warning
Only the AnaConDa or the AnaConDa-S device may be utilized
for delivery and recirculation of the anaesthetic agents sevoflurane
and isoflurane in conjunction with elisa 300 / elisa 500.

Safe operation
In order to guarantee the safe operation of the intensive care ventilator with the
AnaConDa function, the system may only be used as described in this manual.
Before putting the system into operation, users must familiarise themselves with
these instructions for use and with the instructions for use of the AnaConDa
system.
Remark
The AnaConDa system must be set up and applied as described
in the instructions for use provided by its manufacturer Sedana.
