system is suitable for burning natural wood pellets the follow-
ing are not suitable for burning: Wood dust, wood chips, fossil fuels, liquid or gaseous
fuels, etc. PVC waste, cardboard boxes, paper, coated wood etc. should not be burned ei-
ther; all wood must be free of foreign material (nails, screws, etc.).
The optimum boiler temperature lies between 70°C and 75°C.
The minimum return temperature at the boiler's inlet should not fall below 55°C during op-
eration, otherwise condensation can develop in the boiler (resulting in a build up of soot
and tar). Proper installation of a functional return riser is a prerequisite for the warranty is-
sued by the boiler manufacturer.
Make sure there is always a sufficient supply of fresh air in the boiler room.
The boiler should be operated with a buffer storage. - Recommendation!
When working on electrical/electronic components (e.g. the motor, screws, induced
draught fan or the control unit) it is imperative that the main switch which is installed on-
site (emergency off switch) is deactivated!
The quality of the pellets used must comply with the "EN plus A1" quality certificate based
on European Standard EN 14961-2 A1 for wood pellets.
The pellet storage area must comply with ÖNORM M 7137.
The pellet storage safety sign must be affixed to the door leading into the storage area.
The storage area must be ventilated for at least 15 minutes prior to entering!
When working in tight storage areas and hoppers or underground tanks, a second person
should remain outside the storage area for safety purposes.
The storage area should only be entered with the door open.
The storage area must not be filled to the ceiling. Pellets should not be pressed too force-
fully into the storage area, because such compression can result in arching.
Pellets should not be injected into the storage area with excessive pressure. It is important
to ensure that the equalisation opening (from the storage area to the open air) is not
blocked or congested.
No waste, cardboard containers, paper, fabrics etc. should be placed in the storage area.
The storage area is to be configured in accordance with the recommended guidelines.
Avoid naked flames and candles (as well as electrical connections) in the pellet storage ar-
ea and comply with the general safety directives (in particular fire protection) for storage
rooms.
Any dust that has accumulated must be removed from the storage area before it is refilled;
please observe the safety sign on the door to the pellet storage area.
If there is a risk of frost the boiler should be operated at night.
If the appliance is not going to be used for a prolonged period, the boiler, flue and the
chimney are to be cleaned thoroughly. The boiler doors should remain closed for the entire
period and no water should be drained.
The warranty is conditional on professional installation by a licensed fitter (heating
technician) and correct operation in accordance with the relevant regulations.
