Making a Measurement
M
aking a measurement on the 831C can be as simple as viewing a
live reading of the area using the Big Digit display, or as sophisticated
as setting it up with environmental accessories, deploying it in the
field, and logging measurements when the sound level is above 80 dB
over the course of many months in all weather conditions. For both
tasks, understanding the basics of measurement making is essential.
