Understanding the Overall Tab

4.2.4 About the Octave Band Analyzer Page Overall Page 4
TAKE NOTE
This feature requires the 831C-OB3 firmware option, and OBA enabled
in the measurement setup file.
Two pages on the Overall tab relate to the octave band setting you
choose in the measurement setup (1/1, 1/3, or both). The height of each
band in the graph is the amplitude of sound for that frequency. The 1/3
Octave band pages are similar, but each band represents a bandwidth
of 1/3 octave.

ust like the Live tab, you can customize the metrics on this octave
band page as shown in
4.1.3 About the Octave Band Analyzer Page
(Live Page 3)
.
The Overall tab’s octave band pages show measurement data from the
first run to the present time. Overall data clears when the measurement
is stored, or after you reset

the meter.
Figure 4-11
shows that the
numerical values on the Octave Band page are color coded to indicate a
relationship to the graphed octave band. For example, the blue box
next to the L
Aeq
data corresponds to the blue bands in the graph.
