Options and Supplies

• The second DIMM slot, numbered J6 contains a 16MB RAM DIMM.

• The remaining two slots, J7 and J8 are empty.

Additional RAM DIMMs may be purchased for your printer in 16 or 32MB
configurations, allowing your printer a maximum memory configuration of
96MB of RAM.

To install a RAM DIMM you will need to remove the printer’s video controller
board, install the RAM DIMM, then replace the controller board in the printer.
For instructions, see “Removing and replacing the video controller board” on
page 8-1.

INSTALL

A RAM DIMM:

1.

Unpack the RAM DIMM(s).

Do not touch the connector edge on the RAM DIMM.

2.

Place the video controller board on a stable surface.

3.

If you are replacing a RAM DIMM, unlatch the levers each side of the RAM DIMM
you are replacing and carefully slide it straight up, out of the socket.
