The reset circuit consists of reset IC (IC5).
The reset IC (IC5) initializes the ASIC by emitting a reset signal to ASIC (IC1) at 5 V
power on or if the power voltage drops excessively.
A supply voltage monitor is always applied to the reset IC (IC5). If the supply voltage
drops below that level, pin 3 of the reset IC (IC5) goes low, discharging capacitor (C3)
rapidly.
A low reset signal is then applied to pin 13 of ASIC (IC1).
At power on, capacitor (C3) is charged slowly via resistors (R1, R2); as a result the
voltage at pin 13 of ASIC (IC1) remains low for a certain period, which serves as a reset
signal before the level rises high enough.
