10.1 Spreading procedure on headlands
To obtain optimal working results on headlands, it is essential that the tramlines are accurately positi-
oned.
Fig. 1
When spreading at field edges with machines
equipped with the TELIMAT boundary sprea-
ding limiter, or when using a boundary
spreading disc, the first tramline (field edge
tramline (T)) must be positioned at exactly
half of the working width (x) away from the
field edge.
Additionally, a field edge tramline (T) should
be placed at the headland half of the working
width away from the field edge.
Fig. 2
When spreading within the field, make sure that after spreading from the field edge tramlines the
TELIMAT is pivoted out of the spreading flow and any boundary spreading discs are exchanged for
normal spreading discs.
The shutter slides are open and closed at dif-
ferent points from the field edge, depending
on the spreading direction.
When driving into the field, the shutter slides
should open about one working width (x) a-
way from the field edge tramline (T) after
passing over it.
When driving out of the field, the shutter sli-
des should be closed about half a working
width (x) away from the field edge tramline
(T) before passing over it.
Respecting this advice will achieve an economic, environmental-friendly result!
