The calibration check process
Calibration check nozzle holder
This holder allows the calibration check nozzle (1)
to be onhand at all times
•
Close the metering slide by hand or with the
hydraulic control.
•
Disengage the tractor pto drive. Stop the en-
gine and remove the ignition key.
•
Fill with fertiliser. The calibration check
should only be undertaken on the left-hand si-
de of the spreader (viewed in direction of tra-
vel).
•
Remove the adjustment lever located in its
holder on the spreading disc shroud and re-
lease the synthetic castellated disc hub nuts.
•
Remove
both
spreading discs from their hubs
and locate the calibration check nozzle (1)
under the
left-hand
outlet (viewed in direction
of travel).
•
Position the metering slide stop to give the
desired application rate according to informa-
tion given in the spreading charts. Engage
the pto drive at the required rpm speed, as gi-
ven in the spreading charts.
•
Process as much fertiliser as possible.
The greater the volume processed the more
precise the calibration check.
Injury hazard from rotating parts
Rotating hubs can cause bruising, cutting and crushing injuries.
•
Stand well away from the rotating hubs during the calibration check.
