Essential safety and accident prevention instructions
Before undertaking any adjustments or other work such as cleaning, maintenance, alterations, repairs
or clearing blockages,
disengage the pto drive, switch off the tractor engine and remove the
ignition key
. Allow all revolving parts to come to a complete standstill. Make sure that no-one can
inadvertently start up the fertiliser spreader while the operator is checking or repairing the unit.
DANGER
Injury hazard from rotating machine elements!
Rotating machine elements (discs, agitator, pto shaft) can cause serious injury or
death.
•
Always avoid wearing loose clothing, or clothing with loose parts that are liable
to come into contact with moving parts!
•
Avoid wearing clothing with belts, fringes or other items that could get caught
up in moving parts.
•
Never get close to moving parts. Keep hands, feet and clothing well away.

Never reach into the hopper or touch the rotating discs.
•
Never climb onto the spreader when it is operating.
•
Keep the hopper free of any foreign objects. (Danger from ejected projectiles.)

Before starting the spreader, make sure there is no-one within the danger area
around the machine. Make sure you have a good all round vision and keep a
special watch out for children!
•
Only start up the spreader when all safety devices and guards have been pro-
perly fitted and placed in their working positions (e.g. pto shaft guards, disc
shrouds).
IMPORTANT
All bolts (M8 and larger) should be coa-
ted with the anti-seizure past provided!
If the anti-seizure paste is not used
•
bolts can corrode and seize in place.
•
correct removing and refitting of the bolts are not possible.
•
the correct locking of the bolted elements is not assured.
