8. Locate the leaf spring (4) on the main vane threaded bolt (9).
9. Carefully re-engage the notch pin (10) into the desired hole (see photograph below).
10. Secure the leaf spring in place using a
new
washer and a
new
self-locking leaf spring nut (11).
Tighten the leaf spring nut securely so that the leaf spring sits flat on the spreading disc. (Before
assembly, smear bolt threads with anti-seizure paste!)
11. To allow spreading disc vane to be easily adjusted, release the leaf spring locating nut by appro-
ximately half a turn.
