Work input
3.10.1
Preparing for the loading process
• Adjust to the desired cutter number and therefore the
cutting length see Page III - 7/8
• Adjust the pick-up working height: see Page III - 6
• Normal position of roll-type crop guard: see Page III - 6
The swather should be uniform and
loose.
3.10.2
The loading process
3.10.2.1
General information on loading
• Avoid too powerful bailing. Switch on the advance in
time, or adjust low time delay on automatic loader (see
chapter 4.7.3)
• When loading, adjust the speed of travel to the
thickness of the swathe, type of loading material and
the number of cutters installed.
a)
3.10.2.2
For the electromagnetic operator-
friendly control unit without automatic
loader
• When starting the loading process, switch on the
hydraulic oil circulation on the tractor and arrest the
switch lever.
• Switch the pick-up switch to "Lower".
The pick-up can be run in this position during the
whole of the loading process so that the pick-up is
able to accomodate itself to the ground.
• Switch on the power take-off shaft and start the loading
process.
When starting the loading procedure, switch on the
scraper-floor advance when the loading material has
reached approx. 3/4 of the total height in order to
prevent the pile from tipping over.
• As loading continues, switch on the scraper floor when
the loading height has been reached or if the loading
unit runs unevenly because the loading material is
heavy.
