5. TRAVEL MODE MONITOR
This monitor (5) displays the set mode for the travel speed.
When one of the travel mode selector switches is operated the
monitor displays one of the following selections.
6. POWER MAX MONITOR
This monitor (6) shows if the power max function has been actu-
ated.
The monitor display (when the knob switch on the left control
lever is operated) is as follows.
Monitor lights up: Digging power is increased for 8.5 seconds.
REMARK
The digging power is increased while the knob switch is being
pressed only for working modes A and E. Note that this operation
should be used to overcome heavy operating conditions and not
for continuous use.
Monitor goes out: Power max function stopped
METERS
7. ENGINE WATER TEMPERATURE GAUGE
This meter (7) indicates the engine cooling water temperature.
During normal operations, the indicator should be in the black
range. If the indicator enters the red range during operations, the
overheat prevention system is actuated.
The overheat prevention system acts as follows.
Red range position (A): Engine water temperature monitor (1)
turns red.
Red range position (B): Engine speed is reduced to low idle,
engine water temperature monitor lamp (C) turns red, and the
alarm buzzer sounds at the same time.
The overheat prevention system remains actuated until the indi-
cator returns to the black range.
When the engine is started, if the indicator is at position (C),
engine water temperature monitor (1) lights up white.
In this case, carry out the warming-up operation. For details, see
"WARMING UP OPERATION (165)".
