The canvas is fi rst grade silicon treated (WEATHERPROOFED & Australian made).
Care
• VERY IMPORTANT - Your tent or awning must be completely dry before storage! Storing a wet or damp
tent/awning, even for a short time, can ruin it and void the warranty.
• To clean tent, hose down with water and wipe with a cloth. Soaps and detergents can damage the water-
repellant treatment of the canvas.
• Do not spray insecticides or bug repellant directly on the canvas. This may damage the water-repellant
treatment.
• For long-term storage, store in a cool dry location that is not exposed to direct sunlight.
• Our tents are made with quality zippers. To prolong zipper life, do not “grind” zippers around corners. If
needed pull the canvas, windows or doors to help zippers glide smoothly. Keep them clean from dirt.
Other Notes
Condensation inside the Kamper tent is affected by the difference between inside and outside temperatures,
and humidity. Condensation can be reduced by venting your tent. Condensation between the fl oor and a
sleeping mat can be reduced by placing a ground cloth underneath the tent.
Some slight irregularities are normal with 100% cotton canvas and will not affect the performance of your tent.
Waterproofi ng -
To ensure that your new Awning is completely water proof, completely soak the canvas with
about 2 inches of rain naturally or under a sprinkler for six hours then allow the canvas to dry completely
(minimum 48 hours).
REPEAT this process 2 or 3 times. Ensure the awning is
ABSOLUTELY DRY
before packing away for storage of
longer than 2 days.
Weatherproofed Canvas
The Weatherproofed production process ensures the chemical formulation is penetrated into the yarns of
the base fabric. This is achieved by fully immersing the fabric into a padding bath and then squeezing the
formulation into the fi bres. This system also allows the fabric to “breathe” as the woven base fabric is not
sealed by a coating.
Waterproofed
The Weatherproofed process guarantees to be waterproof with every batch of canvas being produced to
exacting standards and tested for Hydrostatic pressure as well as Cone Test leakage.
UV & Rot/Mildew Resistant
The Weatherproofed chemical formulation also combines for resistance against degradation caused from
harmful UV, as well as resistance against bacteria, algae and fungi growth.
Breathable
While the canvas guarantees to be waterproof, the technically superior production system for the
Weatherproofed Canvas fabrics ensures the chemical formulation is dully immersed into the base fabric and
squeezed into the fi bres. Unlike coated fabrics, this exclusive Weatherproofed process allows for the unique
fabric attributes of both waterproof ness and breath ability therefore reducing the possibility of condensation
forming inside the tent.
Construction and Dimension stability
Weatherproofed fabrics are chemically treated to remove residual weaving lubricants. During this preparation
treatment the fabric is also processed to control the shrinkage and dimensional stability of the canvas and to
allow for “take-up” of the seams after sewing.
Other Inferior Coated Canvas
Condensation beads tend to gather due to sealed surface of the canvas. White unprotected yarns also appear
on fabric edges and seams after cutting and sewing. The longevity of the coating is also compromised by
abrasion as the formulation is scraped onto the fabric surface only.
Canvas | Care Instructions
1. Start with canopy lowered so
that you can reach the awning
easily.
2. Release the two straps securing
the awning bag.
3. Open the zips from center to
front and rear.
4. Release velcro straps securing
awning. Caution! Awning may
fall down without support.
5. Roll out awning evenly.
6. Install support poles with claw
end first
7. Extend support pole blank end
up and in to pocket.
8. Locate support pole spigot
through holes in these catches
and secure with R-clips.
9.
Adjust support pole and lock
in place with cam lock. Repeat
steps 6-9 to finish the awning.
