Energy System | Battery Charging (AC)

All Kimberleys are fi tted with an AC Battery Charger (size varies by model and

options). Mounting position varies by model:

• Kampers - underneath the bed

• Karavans - inside rear boot on the right hand wall

• Kruisers - inside the front storage box (this a combination unit with Inverter)

This system is automatic and charging will normally begin when your Kimberley is

connected to AC power.

The battery charger in your Kimberley is pre-set at the factory. On the rare occasion

that any manual input is needed, we recommend:

1. VOLT/AMP:

Change LCD screen display from battery voltage to input current.

2. CHARGE RATE:

Set the charge rate to suite the size of the battery.

3. BATTERY TYPE: Set the charging profi le to a Lithium Battery

4. RECONDITION:

Never select this function.

How to charge your batteries with AC power:

1. Switch OFF all non-essential items that may draw power from the batteries

2. Check the charger settings are correct & connect AC power lead to inlet

3. Turn power ON at power source

Ensure battery charger is connected & switched ON at internal outlet (where fi tted)

5. CHARGING indicator light will glow as batteries charge

6. FULLY CHARGED or READY indicator light will glow when batteries are fully

charged

Note:

Whilst the charger is connected and switched on, the charger will continue to maintain the battery’s

charge if it is not disconnected.

Vehicle 12V - 12V Charge Booster (Optional)

If your vehicle doesn’t produce at least 14V at the charge cable you may need to install

the optional 12V - 12V DC - DC Charge Booster in your Kimberley. This ensures your

batteries receive suffi cient voltage for correct charging whilst you are driving. This unit

also functions as a solar controller as needed.
