Features | Posi-Vent Filter Maintenance
The Karavan features an air pressure device designed to
create positive air pressure inside the trailer. A scoop outside
& fan inside forces air through a paper filter inside the unit.
THIS CAN ONLY BE EFFECTIVE IF THE FILTER IS CLEAN AND
THE AIR CAN FLOW FREELY THROUGH IT.
The paper dust filter will have to be cleaned regularly. A good
tap should remove most dust or a careful blast of compressed
air will do the job. In dusty conditions this may be daily or at
most, every 2 days.
To access filter: release spring catch and lower cover.
Replacement Filters
Paper Filter: Briggs and Stratton Industrial Engine Air Filter Part Number 491588
It can be purchased from Kimberley Kampers or any industrial engine specialists.
Features | TV Connection (Optional)
The Karavan is equipped with shielded cable and TV inlets/
outlets. These allow you to connect to regular or Satellite TV
receptors.
How to use your TV connection
1. Connect receiver cable at rear of Karavan.
2. Connect TV cable to outlet inside Karavan.
3. Optional C3 Compact Antennae can be mounted on canopy.

How to use the Air-Conditioner
1. Turn power switch on overhead console to ON position
2. Adjust temperature and air flow via air-conditioner interface controls

IMPORTANT: This Air-conditioner can only be used when using external shore power supply.
Symptom Cause / Remedy
When switching on, the unit does not
operate.
No 110V power supply.
> Connect Karavan to the site supply and check residual current breaker.
When switching on heating operation,
the unit does not operate.
Temperature setting on the control panel too low.
> Set the ambient room temperature on the control panel.
When switching on cooling operation,
the unit does not operate.
Temperature setting on the control panel too high
> Set the ambient room temperature on the control panel.
NB, on some models: If the room temperature is below 18°C, the compressor will not operate due to
low ambient temperature (cooling mode only).
Unusually high condensation on the
unit or the cold air ducts.
Door or windows open (high humidity)
> Close all doors and windows during operation, set cooling to high on the
control panel.
Unit operates for a prolonged period
(heating or cooling) and then stops.
A/C internal air filter blocked.
Aperture for the outflowing air blocked.
> Check the indoor air filter, and the aperture for the outflowing air.
