The Compressor section of the channel strip is home to the compressor
parameters. Each of the 8 input channels (and the main output bus) have
their own downward compressor available for taming those out of control
peaks.

The bypass button enables or disables the compressor.
• Clicking the button will toggle the state of the bypass.
• The button will light up
green
when enabled (compressor on).
• The button will go dark when disabled (compressor bypassed).

The threshold knob controls the volume level at which the compressor
will engage.
• Turn clockwise to increase (higher threshold); turn counterclockwise to decrease (lower
threshold).
•
A specific value may be entered into the accompanying number box as an alternative way
of setting the threshold.

Range
: -70dB – +10dB
• When the effect is enabled, any audio
above
the threshold will cause the compressor to
engage. Audio below the threshold will pass through unaltered.

The makeup gain knob controls the amount of makeup gain applied to the output of the
compressor. This allows you to increase the overall level of the signal after it has been
compressed; it “makes up” for the gain reduction.
