In HOT LINE mode, the unit prints in real time all the data as received from the PBX.
This enables the checking of the PBX - unit communication.
Make a phone call from an extension, and then hang-up. The unit should print the
call record exactly as sent by the PBX.
Case 1:
The unit correctly prints the data.
Go to format checking (ACCEPTED and REJECTED modes).
Case 2:
The unit prints strange characters with no clear meaning.
Check that the unit configuration (speed, parity,...) corresponds to the
protocol used by the PBX in the V24 output.
Case 3:
The unit does not print anything.
Check the unit - PBX connection cable and the selected protocol. Also
check that the V24 output of the PBX has been properly activated.
For cases 2 and 3, try until you get proper PBX-unit communication. Then, go to next
step (checking format).
In the case of a persistent problem, contact your supplier.
