3.5 INITIAL SETTING Menu
Changing the water depth unit (DEPTH UNIT)
Either "m" (meters), "FT" (feet), "FM" (fathoms), or "SP" (special) is
available as the water depth unit. The "SP" unit is the user-specified unit.
The water depth unit can be changed using the following procedure:

Display the FISH FINDER SETTING menu by pressing the
and
keys together.

Move control to "INITIAL SETTING" by pressing the
or
key, and display the INITIAL SETTING submenu by pressing the
key.
3
Move control to "UNIT" by pressing the
or
key, and
display the UNIT SETTING submenu by pressing the
key.
4
Move control to "DEPTH UNIT" by pressing the
or
key.
5
Select a water depth unit by pressing the
or
key.
Example: On the sample display shown at right, "m" is selected
from the four types ("m", "FT", "FM" and "SP").
6
Press the
MARK
key to return to the INITIAL SETTING submenu.
7
Press the
GRAPH
key to return to the fishfinding display.
If "SP" is selected, separate setting will also be required. See page
49 for the "SP" unit.

Setting a special water depth unit (SPECIAL UNIT)
Any water depth unit can be set. The setting range is from 0.3000 to
1.9999 m. The user-specified unit is called "special unit".
A special unit can be set using the following procedure:

Display the FISH FINDER SETTING menu by pressing the
and
keys together.

Move control to "INITIAL SETTING" by pressing the
or
key, and display the INITIAL SETTING submenu by pressing the
key.
3
Move control to "UNIT" by pressing the
or
key, and
display the UNIT SETING submenu by pressing the
key.
4
Move control to "SPECIAL UNIT" by pressing the
or
key.
5
Select a value per unit by pressing the
or
key.
Example: 1 SP = 1.6500 m

Press the
MARK
key to return to the INITIAL SETTING submenu.
7
Press the
GRAPH
key to return to the fishfinding display.
Select "SP" (special unit) from the DEPTH UNIT menu. See page
49 for the water depth unit.
