Reducing transmitter output (PDC)
If the gain level cannot be sufficiently reduced using the gain control or
the STC control, change the setting of PDC (transmitter output) to adjust
the gain. Four settings are provided for PDC: "A", "B", "C", and "D"; "A"
being the minimum output and "D" being the maximum output.
Select "D" for normal operating conditions.
Change the setting of PDC as follows:
1
Display the FISH FINDER SETTING menu by pressing the
and
keys together.
2
Move control to "PDC" by pressing the
or
key, and display
the PDC submenu by pressing the
key.
3
Select either HI (high-frequency) or LO (low-frequency) by
pressing the
or
key.
4
Select the desired output level by pressing the
or
key.
5
Press the
MARK
key to return to the FISH FINDER SETTING menu.
6
Press the

key to return to the fishfinding display.
Adjusting the frequency (FREQ. ADJUST)
Interference can be minimized by fine-adjustment of the operating
frequency. This method, however, is valid when screen interference
noise caused by the approach of other vessels or by the engine sounds
of your own vessel cannot be suppressed using the interference
suppression function of the FISH FINDER SETTING menu.
See page 42 for "INTERFERENCE" setting operations.
The frequency can be adjusted in steps of ±10 kHz in the case of 200
kHz and 75 kHz, or in steps of ±5 kHz in the case of 50kHz, 38kHz and
28 kHz.
Adjust the frequency as follows:
1
Display the FISH FINDER SETTING menu by pressing the
and
keys together.
2
Move control to "FREQ. ADJUST" by pressing the
or
key,
and display the FREQUENCY ADJUST submenu by pressing the
key.
3
Select either HI (high-frequency) or LO (low-frequency) by
pressing the
or
key.
4
Adjust the frequency by pressing the
or
key.
5
If necessary, adjust the other frequency as well by repeating steps
3
and
4
above.
6
Press the
MARK
key to return to the FISH FINDER SETTING menu.
7
Press the
GRAPH
key to return to the fishfinding display.
