1.1 Functions
The JFV-700HP color fishfinder detects schools of fish by emitting ultrasonic waves from the
accompanying transducer fixed to the bottom or side of the vessel, in the direction of the bottom, and
acquiring with the transducer the ultrasonic waves reflected from the schools of fish beneath the vessel.
Detected schools of fish are displayed in a color-coded format on the 10-inch color CRT monitor
according to the particular level of the wave reflections from the schools of fish. A partial expand display
mode (ZOOM), a sea bottom expand display mode (BTM. EXP.), and a mixed display mode (MIXED) are
available in addition to three standard display modes (low-frequency display, high-frequency display, and
low-frequency/high-frequency split display). An A-scope split display function is also available that
identifies the fish detection l evel by a color tone and a width. Furthermore, the JFV-700HP provides a
water temperature*1/water depth graph display function that displays a graph of changes in water
temperature*1/water depth, in overlapped form on the fish detection video.
*1: Water temperature display requires a water temperature sensor.
