Minimizing video interruptions due to bubbling (TX CYCLE MODE)
The transmission cycle and the timing of chart speed are usually
synchronized. Revoking this state minimizes video interruptions due to
bubbling. In shallow seas, however, care must be taken since the
fishfinder is prone to pick multiplex echoes.
The procedure for changing the timing between the transmission cycle
and chart speed is shown below.

Display the FISH FINDER SETTING menu by pressing the
and
keys together.

Move control to "TX CYCLE MODE" by pressing the
or
key.

Select either "SYNC." or "ASYNC." by pressing the
or
key.

Press the
GRAPH
key to return to the fishfinding display.
The "ASYNC." (asynchronous) function is valid when the chart
speed rate is reduced below "1/3".
Clearing artifacts from video of the bottom (TX CYCLE ADJ.)
In the shallow range, artifacts in video of the
bottom due to weaker signal reflections than
actual bottom signal reflections may appear
between the zero line and the bottom on the
screen.
If such artifacts obstruct your sight on the
fishfinding video display, adjust the transmission
cycle using the "TX CYCLE ADJ." function of the
FISH FINDER SETTING menu.
The transmission cycle adjustment procedure is
shown below.

Display the FISH FINDER SETTING menu by pressing the

Move control to "TX CYCLE ADJ." by pressing the
or
key.

Adjust the transmission cycle by pressing the
or
key. The
transmission cycle setting range is from "0" to "100", and a larger
setting reduces artifacts in video of the bottom correspondingly.

Press the
GRAPH
key to return to the fishfinding display.
