INTERFERENCE
Suppressing interference (INTERFERENCE)
On-screen interference from external fishfinders or other electronic
equipment can be minimized using the INTERFERENCE function
(interference suppression) displayed on the FISH FINDER SETTING
menu.
Four interference suppression levels are provided: "OFF", "IR1", "IR2",
and "AUTO".
Select "IR1" for weak interference, and select "IR2" for strong
interference. Selection of "AUTO" activates the interference suppression
function according to the particular intensity of interference. Selection of
"OFF" deactivates interference suppression.
Initially, select "OFF". If interference occurs, however, change the
setting to "IR1".
The selected interference suppression level ("OFF", "IR1", "IR2", or
"AUTO") is also displayed at the top of the fishfinding display to
allow user confirmation on page 8.
Select an interference suppression level as follows:
1
Display the FISH FINDER SETTING menu by pressing the
and
keys together.
2
Move control to "INTERFERENCE" by pressing the
or
key.
3
Move control to either "OFF", "IR1", "IR2", or "AUTO" by pressing
the
or
key.
4
Press the
