Setting the fish alarm
The fish alarm can be activated when a fish detection signal exceeding
the specified signal level appears in the specified alarm range. Use the
fish alarm menu to specify the fish alarm range and the signal level.
The alarm setting range is within 2,000 m of the zero line.
The alarm will sound, even when the bottom is present in the fish
alarm range.
The fish alarm setting procedure is shown below.

Display the main menu by pressing the
and
keys together.

Move control to "ALARM" by pressing the
or
key, and then
display the ALARM SETTING submenu by pressing the
key.

Move control to "FISH" by pressing the
or
key, and then
display the FISH ALARM submenu by pressing the
key.

Move control to "FUNCTION" by pressing the
or
key, and
then select "ON" by pressing the
or
key.

Move control to "UPPER LIM" by pressing the
or
key, and
then specify the desired UPPER LIMIT fish-detection water depth
value by pressing the
or
key.
Example: 20 m (for activating the alarm in a water depth range of
20 m below)

Move control to "WIDTH" by pressing the
or
key, and then
specify the desired width of the fish detection water depth range
(namely, the range from the maximum allowable value to the
minimum allowable value) by pressing the
or
key.
Example: 10 m (for activating the alarm in the water depth range
from 20 to 30 m)

Move control to "ALARM LEVEL" by pressing the
or
key,
and then specify the desired fish detection signal level by pressing
the
or
key.
The fish alarm will be activated when a signal exceeding the
specified signal level appears.
Example: "7" (value displayed at the color sample)

Press the
MARK
key to return to the ALARM MENU.

Press the
GRAPH
key to return to the fishfinding display.
When the fish alarm is on, it will sound if a fish detection signal
exceeding the specified signal level appears in the specified alarm
range. The fish alarm will continue sounding until the
corresponding fish detection signal disappears.
Press the
MARK
key to deactivate the sounding fish alarm before the
corresponding fish detection signal disappears.
Even after the sounding alarm has been deactivated, the red alarm
mark will remain displayed as it is.
