COMMUNICATIONS
The Versecon unit is designed to communicate with a
Building Automation System.
The Building Automation System communication uses
BACnet MS/TP, Modbus, or N2 protocol.
Communication Wiring
All the communication wiring is done with a twisted
pair shielded conductor. The (+) is connected to the (+)
connection on the Network Port of the control and the
(-) is connected to the (-) connection on the Network
Port of the control. The shield can be connected to the
Shield connection on the Network Port of the control.
The shield must only be connected to ground on one
end.
Network Baud Rate
Before setting the communication Baud Rate, power
needs to be removed from the control board. The control
only reads the Baud Rate information when the control
is first turned on. The Baud Rate can be set at 9600 or
38400. The Baud Rate is set using the “Network Port
Baud Jumper” on the control board. If the jumper is
placed on the bottom two pins, the Baud Rate is 9600.
If the jumper is placed on the upper two pins, the Baud
Rate is 38400.
