6.5 CALIBRATION
NOTE: Before beginning this calibration procedure, park the
machine on a firm, level surface. Ensure the platform
is stowed and empty.
NOTE: Need to calibrate load sensing system every 3
months and also apply a thorough coat of Lithium
Grease (JLG PN 3020029) added to the upper slide
channel under the platform where the upper wear
pads s through the upper slide channels. Refer to
Figure 6-2., Lithium Grease Application.
Procedure
1. Place the machine in GROUND MODE.
2. Using the Analyzer, navigate to CALIBRATIONS >
LOAD SENSING.
3. Press ENTER for Yes.
4. The analyzer will prompt for Accessory Weight to be
entered. Enter any accessory weight at this step.
5. Press Enter.
6. The analyzer will tare the empty deck weight.
7. The analyzer will then prompt for whether or not
Pipe Racks or Sky Glazier are installed. Select N for NO
and Y for Yes.
8. The analyzer will then prompt for whether or not a
single or dual extension deck is installed.
9. The analyzer will then display the capacity for the
model.
10. This completes calibration.
Troubleshooting Steps :
1. CAL FAILED occurs.
a. Ensure none of the load pins are mounted
upside down.
b. Ensure the empty deck gross weight falls
between 1000 to 1700lbs.
c. Ensure there are no other active DTC's pertain-
ing to the load pins or load pin module.
d. Load Pin Diagnostics can be viewed under
Diagnostics -> Load
