Fuel lift pump (Fig. 28)
Clean the fuel lift pump filter every
500 hours.
1. Remove the cover and joint (1) from the
top of the fuel lift pump (2) and re-
move the gauze strainer (3).

2. Clean the gauze strainer, joint and
cover.
3. Carefully wash all sediment from the
lift pump body.
4. Reassemble the lift pump ensuring that
the gauze strainer and joint are fitted
correctly to prevent air entering the
system.
5. Eliminate air from the system through
the thermostart fuel pipe connection
(Fig. 23) or vent plug on top of the fil-
ter (3 fig.22).
Instruction of turbocharger:
1. If you have not started the engine for
several days or you have changed the
engine oil filter recently , it is neces-
sary to remove the solenoid socket of
injection pump and start for 15 sec-
onds until the pressure of oil reaches
to desired value before firing the en-
gine and then refit the socket in its
place and start again.
2. Before switching off the engine let it
work for around 3 to 5 minute in idle
rpm and do not press gas pedal, be-
cause it causes serious damages to
turbocharger.
3. Inspect turbo oil back pipe regularly for
deflection and leakages.
4. To prevent damages to turbocharger it
is necessary to use suitable air and oil
filter.
5. Engine oil specification that must use
is: API – CH4 – 15W40

Check the pre-cleaner bowl and empty
out the dust if the level is near the MAX
mark.
1. Loosen the knurled nut (1) and remove
the cover (2) and bowl assembly (3).
2. Clean out and dry the complete pre-
cleaner assembly and re-install.
Dry air cleaner (Fig. 30 and 31)
Clean the MAIN element - Flexible
maintenance or when the warning light
comes on. Change the MAIN element
every 1000 hours
