The window will then open automatically
and will remain open supported by the two
gas struts (4).
Side windows (Fig. 12)
The side windows are hinged on the
rear edge and can be opened to several po-
sitions. To open; hold the handle and push
the over-centre latch outwards. A ratchet
will hold the window open at the required
setting.

Interior light (1 Fig. 10)
To switch on this light, move the key
(2 Fig. 10) under the light.
Rear windows (Fig. 11).
The rear window unit has two panels,
lower and upper. To open the lower win-
dow lift the catch (1) and swing the win-
dow inwards, securing it with the catch
(2). To open the upper window, first open
and secure the lower window, then release
the two catches (3) at either end of the
hatch which also serves as a ventilator. To
open the hatch as a ventilator, release the
catch (1) and push gently up on the grab
handle. The hatch will open automatically
and remain held open by the two gas struts.
Escape hatch (Fig. 9)
To open the hatch to escape from the
cab, push up sharply beyond the ventilation
position, the struts will break away from
their connections (2) and the hatch can be
opened fully. To close, pull the hatch down
until the struts can be relocated in their
connectors then fully close the hatch and
