If the printer jams
To clear a printout jammed inside your machine:
Important: Be careful not to put your hand between the top cover and the
machine.

Use the lifting point at the top right cor-
ner to open the top cover.

Open the printer cover.

Lift out the toner and the the
drum unit.
Important: Shield the drum unit from
light, especially strong
light. If you need to
remove the drum for an
extended period wrap it in
a thick cloth to protect it
from light.

Remove the jammed paper.
CAUTION:
The fuser unit becomes very hot.
Do not touch the fuser unit when you
are removing a paper jam.
Note: Avoid getting “unfixed” toner on
your hands and clothes.
Open the side cover.
Raise the jam release lever to remove
the jammed paper.

Close the side cover then reinstall the
toner and drum unit.

Gently close the printer cover, pressing
firmly on cover until you hear it click.

Gently lower the top cover.
