7. If no stuck switch injector pin condition exists, the
CHECK INJECTOR
message
displays. The test is complete; press
[ON/OFF]
to power off the infuser and continue
the PVT.
8. If the infuser attempts to scan the vial's barcode with the injector flange disengaged
from the injector flange retainer, then a stuck injector switch pin condition exists.
Perform the procedure for cleaning the injector switch pin in
Section 5.2.6.1 , then
repeat this test.
Note: If repeating the Stuck Injector Switch Pin Test results in failure after the
cleaning procedure in
Section 5.2.6.1
has been performed, replace the
mechanism assembly as described in
Section 7.3.8.14
or contact ICU
Medical .
5.6.4
SELF TEST
Conduct all tests with the infuser connected to AC power unless otherwise specified.
Note: If the quality of earth grounding source is in doubt, use battery power.
If an alarm condition occurs during the self test, press
[ON/OFF]
twice. If the alarm
condition recurs, note the message and take corrective action
(see Section 6)
.
Repeat the self test. If the alarm condition continues to recur, remove the infuser from
service and
contact ICU Medical .
CAUTION: Do not place the infuser in service if the self test fails.
