3. Wipe up the spill.
- Use a spiral pattern when wiping, moving from the inner to outer edges of each
surface to avoid recontaminating the areas you have already wiped.
- When part of the cleaning cloth or wipe becomes soiled or saturated, start wiping
with an unused part.
- Change cloths or wipes as needed to avoid spreading the spill from one area of the
infuser to another.
- Do not allow cleaning fluid to run into internal parts of the infuser.
- When wiping the vial compartment, take care to avoid damaging the cradle
mechanism.
Note:
If sticky or high-viscosity fluids are spilled in the vial compartment, replace
the infuser as soon as possible so it can be thoroughly cleaned. Dried,
built-up residue from these type of fluids can affect the operation of the vial
sensor pin, injector sensor pin, and cradle mechanism.
