To install an I/O expansion ETE adapter, you must first remove the I/O expansion adapter 2 if it is
present. The I/O expansion adapter 2 is at location Un-P1-C19 on an IBM Flex System p270
Compute Node. Pull the slot’s two blue release tabs open, as indicated in Figure 22. Then, lift the
adapter up and away from its connector and out of the compute node.

8.

Lower the I/O expansion ETE adapter over the three posts on the system board as shown in
Figure 23 on page 54. Press down gently until the adapter is firmly seated. Then, continue with step
9 on page 54.
