v
Follow the suggested actions in the order in which they are listed in the Action column until the problem is
solved.
v
See Chapter 7, “Parts listing for IBM Flex System p270 Compute Node,” on page 95 to determine which
components are CRUs and which components are FRUs.
v
If an action step is preceded by Trained service technician only, that step must be performed only by a trained
service technician.

symbolic failing
item
Symptom
Action
IOBRDG
The failing
component is the
RIO/HSL I/O bridge
on the IPL path.
Replace the system-board and chassis assembly, as described in
“Replacing the system-board and chassis assembly” on page 83.
IOHUB
The failing
component is the
RIO/HSL network
interface card (NIC)
on the IPL path.
Replace the system-board and chassis assembly, as described in
“Replacing the system-board and chassis assembly” on page 83.
I2CBUS
The failing
component is the I2C
bus.
Read the description of the system reference code (SRC) and perform any
actions indicated there. If that does not resolve the problem, replace the
system-board and chassis assembly, as described in “Replacing the
system-board and chassis assembly” on page 83.
MEMBRD
The failing
component is the
board that the
memory DIMMs
plug into.
Replace the system-board and chassis assembly, as described in
“Replacing the system-board and chassis assembly” on page 83.
MEMCTLR
The failing
component is one of
the memory
controllers.
Replace the system-board and chassis assembly, as described in
“Replacing the system-board and chassis assembly” on page 83.
MEMDIMM
The failing
component is one of
the memory DIMMs.
1.
Replace the failing DIMM. See “Removing a DIMM” on page 44 for
location information and for the removal procedure.
2.
Install new memory DIMMs, as described in “Installing a DIMM” on
page 47.
For more information, see “Supported DIMMs” on page 48.
NO12VDC
Error code 1xxx2647
indicates that the
compute node is
reporting that 12V dc
is not present on the
IBM Flex System
Enterprise Chassis
midplane.
1.
Check the management-module event log for entries that indicate a
power problem with the IBM Flex System Enterprise Chassis.
2.
Resolve any problems.
3.
Power off the compute node, as described in “Turning off the compute
node” on page 11.
4.
Remove the compute node from the IBM Flex System Enterprise
Chassis, and then reinsert the compute node.
5.
Power on the compute node.
6.
Monitor the compute node operation to verify that the problem is
solved.
7.
If the IBM Flex System Enterprise Chassis is functioning normally but
the 1xxx2647 problem persists, replace the system-board and chassis
assembly, as described in “Replacing the system-board and chassis
assembly” on page 83.
