Hard disk drive
Drive tray
Drive tray handle
(in open position)
Complete
the
following
steps
to
install
a
drive
in
a
hot-swap
bay.
Attention:
To
maintain
proper
system
cooling,
do
not
operate
the
server
for
more
than
10
minutes
without
either
a
drive
or
a
filler
panel
installed
for
each
bay.
Note:
All
hot-swap
drives
being
used
in
the
server
should
have
the
same
throughput
speed
rating;
mixing
speed
ratings
might
cause
all
drives
to
operate
at
the
lower
throughput
speed.

guidelines”
on
page

3.
Install
the

e.

the
hard
disk
drive
is
operating
properly.
If
the

that

and
needs
to
be
replaced.
If
the
green

disk
drive
activity
LED
is
flashing,
the
drive
is
being
accessed.
Note:
If
your
server
is
configured
for
RAID
operation
using
the
integrated
SCSI
controller
with
RAID
capabilities
or
an
optional

you
might
need
to
reconfigure

after
installing
hard
disk
drives.
