enable
or
disable
the
integrated
SCSI
controller
with
RAID
capabilities
and
Ethernet
controllers,
and
all
standard
ports
(serial,
parallel,
and
so
on).

The
default
setting
is
Enable
for
all
the
controllers.
If
you
select
Disable
,
the
system
will
not
configure
the
disabled
device
and
the
operating
system
will
not
detect
the
device.
(This
is
equivalent
to
unplugging
the
device.)
–
If
the
integrated
SCSI
controller
with
RAID
capabilities
is
disabled
and
no
SCSI
adapter
is
installed,
the
server
will
have
no
SCSI
capability.
–
If
the
on-board
Ethernet
controller
is
disabled
and
no
Ethernet
adapter
is
installed,
the
server
will
have
no
Ethernet
capability.

Select
this
choice
to
set
passwords
or
the

Control
Security

choice

You
can
implement
two
levels
of
password
protection:

Power-on
Password
Select
this
choice
to
set
or
change
a
power-on
password.

Administrator
Password
Attention:
If
an
administrator
password
is
set
and
then
forgotten,
it
cannot
be
overridden
or
removed.
You
must
replace

IBM
Remote
Supervisor
Adapter

installed

your

Select
this
choice
to
set
or
change
an
administrator
password.
The
administrator
password
provides
access

You

set,
change,
or
delete
both
the
administrator
and
power-on
passwords
and
allow
a
power-on
password
to
be
changed
by
the
user.

Options
Select
this
choice
to
view
or
change
the
start
options.
This
choice
appears
only
on
the
full
Configuration/Setup
Utility
main
menu.
Start
options
take
effect
when
you
start
your
server.
You
can
select
keyboard
operating
characteristics,
such
as
the
keyboard
speed.
You
also
can
specify
whether
the
keyboard
number
lock
starts
on
or
off.
You
also
can
enable
the
server
to
run
without
a
diskette
drive,
monitor,
or
keyboard.
The
server
uses
a
startup
sequence
to
determine
the
device
from
which
the
operating
system
is
loaded.
For
example,
you
can
define
a
startup
sequence
that
checks
for
a
startable
diskette
in
the
diskette
drive,
then
checks
the
hard
disk
drive
in
bay
0,
and
then
checks
a
network
adapter.
If
your
server
contains
Wake
on
LAN
hardware
and
software
and
your
operating
system
supports
Wake
on
LAN
functions,
you
can
also
define
a
startup
sequence
for
the
Wake
on
LAN
functions.
