ESD Cover (Model D40)
Note: Unless you have a particular reason to do so, do not switch off the using system
or the 7133 when removing or installing the operator panel assembly.
Step 1. If not already done, open the front cover (see “Covers” on page 138).
Step 2. Refer to Figure 94.
Step 3. Slide the electrostatic discharge (ESD) cover

forward until it disengages
from the operator panel assembly.
Step 4. Carefully lift the ESD cover upward. Note that the operator panel flexible
circuit

and the disk drive status light flexible circuit
1
are engaged in the
slots of the ESD cover.
Step 5. Carefully disengage the two flexible circuits from the slots in the ESD cover.
Step 6. Remove the ESD cover.
Step 7. Replace parts in the reverse sequence.
