Connecting the -48V DC Power Distribution Panel (PDP), feature code EPB8
Some rack models (such as the 7014-T00) can support a DC power configuration for systems that require
DC power. This procedure describes how to connect your power to the power distribution panel.
Note: You are responsible for providing and connecting the -48V DC power source and -48V DC power
return cables from your source -48V DC to the bus bars in the power distribution panel. You are also
responsible for connecting the ground cable to the rack frame.

Connecting DC power to the PDP

Procedure
1. Remove the cable channel cover. To remove the cable channel cover, perform the following steps:
a. Loosen the four retaining screws (5).
b. Align the larger openings in the cover (6) with the retaining screw heads.
c. Lift the cover up to clear the retaining screws and remove it.
