7.2.4 "Bottle Sampler" mode
Description:
By using mode M6 and with the aid of the BottleSampling Unit BSU 8110 (optional
accessory) the contamination of an oil sample can be measured from a sample bottle.
In the Limits menu the following settings must be made :
·
Pre-run
volume
The quantity of oil which is fed through before the first measurement
(adjustable 10 ... 100 ml)
Recommended setting 20 ml
·
Test
volume
Quantity of oil which is to be measured in total (via several individual measurements)
(can be set from 10 ... 400 ml)
·
Tests
/
bottle
Number of individual measurements into which the measurement volume is to be
divided (can be set to 1 ... 10). For example, for a measurement volume of 100 ml and
4 measurements per sample, 4 measurements of 25 ml each will be carried out. The
resultant quantity of particles from each individual measurement is projected for
100 ml each.
·
Dilution
ratio
If the sample has to be diluted due to excessive contamination or high viscosity, the
mixture ratio can be input here. The measurement results are automatically projected
for an undiluted sample.
The first value indicates the sample volume (can be set to between 1 and 100), the
second value indicates the volume of the diluting agent (e.g. clean oil) (can be set to
between 0 and 100). When undiluted samples are being measured, the second value
must = 0.
Operation:

M5: Rinse BS
M6: Bottle sampler
When the OK/START key is pressed, the pressure in the pressure chamber builds up first.
