Inserting a fan module into the USG9520
Step 7
Verify that the new fan module works properly.
Normally, after the new fan module is inserted into the chassis, the fans start working. In this
case, check whether the fan module is working normally in the following ways:
l
Check the Status indicator on the panel of the fan module. If the Status indicator on the
panel of the fan module is green and blinking at a rate of 0.5 Hz, the fan module is
working normally. If the Status indicator on the panel of the fan module is green and
blinking at a rate of 4 Hz, or if it is yellow or red, the fan module is not working
normally.
l
Run the
display fan
command on the console interface to view the running status of the
fan module. The fan module is working normally if the following is displayed:
<sysname>
display fan
Slotid : 10
Present : YES
Registered: YES
Status : AUTO
FanSpeed : [No.]Speed
[1]75% [2]75%
The preceding output also indicates that the fan module has returned to the normal state. If the
fan module does not work normally, contact a local Huawei office for technical support.
