Parameter
Description
RAID Mode
Configures the RAID mode as single-RAID or dual-RAID.
● If the FM-B, FM-C, or FM-D is installed on the
RH8100 V3, RAID Mode is unavailable.
– If the RH8100 V3 is in single-system, RAID Mode
is unavailable regardless of the RAID controller
card quantity.
– In dual-system, system A uses RAID-1 and system
B uses RAID-2.
● If the FM-A is installed on the RH8100 V3 and the
server is in single-system, you can configure the RAID
mode as single-RAID or dual-RAID.
– In single-RAID mode, only RAID-1 can be used.
– In dual-RAID mode, both RAID-1 and RAID-2 can
be used.
● The dual-RAID mode is recommended if the FM-A is
installed on the RH8100 V3 and the server is in dual-
system mode.
– In single-RAID mode, system B has no hard disk.
Therefore, you are advised to switch the RAID
mode from single-RAID to dual-RAID by using the
iBMC of system A. In dual-RAID mode, system A
uses RAID-1 and system B uses RAID-2.
– Do not switch the RAID mode from dual-RAID to
single-RAID.
– Do not use the iBMC of system B to configure the
RAID mode.
If you want to select Dual RAID, ensure that the
RH8100 V3 has two RAID controller cards. Before you
switch the RAID mode between single-RAID and dual-
RAID, ensure that the OS is powered on.
If you want to select Single RAID, ensure that a
compute module with CPUs is installed in slot 1. If you
want to select Dual RAID, ensure that compute
modules with CPUs are installed in slots 1 and 5.
