The follo wing section co v ers the t ypical errors caused b y installation mistak es.
When an instrumen t is p o w ered up, it b egins a self-test that includes a memory c hec k,
in terface c hec k, and so on. If the instrumen t rep orts a self-test error, see the instrumen t's
man ual.
Errors during the ST ART/ST ART.F Program
After softw are installation, p erform the ST AR T/ST AR T.F program to v erify that the
system is installed correctly . The ST AR T/ST AR T.F program has a system initialization
function and a system c hec k function. Most installation problems are detected during the
ST AR T/ST AR T.F program.
For HP 4062UX/F System
ST ART ERROR 0 : Not authorized to use the softw are.
P ossible Cause Solution
The HP 46084A ID Mo dule is not
connected or not connected prop erly .
Chec k and connect the ID mo dule prop erly .
The co dew ord is incorrect in the
CODEW ORD le.
Chec k the con ten ts of the CODEW ORD le. If it
is incorrect, call the nearest HP Sales Oce.
The CODEW ORD le do es not exist. Chec k that the CODEW ORD le is lo cated in
correct directory (/usr/p cs/etc).
ST ART ERROR 90 : SYSCONFIG file not found.
P ossible Cause Solution
The SYSCONFIG le do es not exist. Chec k that the SYSCONFIG le is lo cated in the
correct directory (/usr/p cs/etc).
When y ou are using a diskless cluster
system, the SYSCONFIG le is not copied
prop erly .
Chec k that the SYSCONFIG le for cno de is
prop erly copied. Note that the SYSCONFIG le
is CDF.
