The front panel contains the following modules and features:
1.
A master sMB module.
2. The sFU-8 eight-fan horizontal cooling module.
3. The sFU-4 four-fan vertical cooling module.
4. Up to 4 sFB-12 fabric boards,.
5. A redundant slave sMB module.
6. L-brackets that you use to attach the chassis to the rack columns.
In an HP Cluster Platform, the ISR 9288 rear panel is configured as shown in Figure 4-15 and
Figure 4-16 . An optional router blade drawer (sRBD) might be installed in any of the chassis’
rear slots. Figure 4-15 shows the chassis configured with the maximum line ports and no sRBD

The following features are shown in Figure 4-15 :
1. Up to 12 sLB-24 InfiniBand line boards.
2. Location of the locking levers for inserting and removing the line boards.
3. A single sCTRL management module.
4. Up to 5 power supplies.
Figure 4-16 shows a rear view of the upper part of the chassis, with two populated sRBD drawers
installed.
