1.
Power supply module that converts AC to DC supply. One or two power supplies are
installed.
2.
Serial port connector that provides access to the serial CLI console interface.
3.
Ethernet RJ-45 port that provides management interface over a local network (The
management data traffic is called out-of-band, because it does not pass over the InfiniBand
high-speed network). You can use this port only when the rear RJ-45 connector is not in use.
4.
InfiniBand port status LEDs show the physical and logical status of each InfiniBand port.
5.
Three interconnect status LEDs that show the status of the entire unit, the subnet manager
(active, passive or standby), and power status.
6.
Optional second power supply module.
7.
Status indicator LED indicating the power supply status, and hot swap status.
8.
Reset button:
•
Press and hold this button for more than 2 seconds, but less than 6 seconds to reset the
management card function without affecting data traffic through the high-speed network.
•
Press and hold this button for more than 6 seconds to reset the interconnect. This will
disrupt data traffic across the high-speed network.
9.
Logical link indicator LED (amber) for port 13.
10. Physical link indicator LED (green) for port 13.
2.1.2 ISR 9024 Management Card
The management card provides the ISR 9024 internal management capabilities, enabling you
not only to manage the interconnect in which the card is installed, but also to manage any other
manageable device in the fabric. The Ethernet and serial ports accessible at the front mounted
on the management card panel, which is a removable module.
Figure 2-2
shows the card ports,
and the DB-9 adapter used in conjunction with the serial port.

connection, such as from a PC or laptop.
2.
Ethernet port 0, not used in Cluster Platform configurations.
3.
Ethernet port indicators
4.
Ethernet port 1, used for interconnect management via the local network, when configured
with an IP address.
5.
Management card reset button (use this button only when directed by a diagnostic program,
a documented interconnect procedure, or when directed by HP service personnel.)
