If an electrical connection between the sensor and the microprocessor cannot be 
established, the screen will display the message shown on Fig. 5-10.

NOTE

•  The oxygen sensor is a consumable that has a 

lifespan which heavily depends on the amount 

of  oxygen  that  it  has  been  exposed  to.  The 

equipment  works  correctly  with  an  exhausted 

oxygen sensor, but in this case is not possible 

to monitor the O

2

 concentration.

The ventilator injects known volumes in the tight circuit and records the pressure 
levels generated by these volumes. In this way, the circuit calculates the patient 
circuit compliance for the different values of the existing volume.
