• Early firmware versions were not able to
use as much force to get or place media
in a magazine. Upgrading the library
firmware might resolve this issue.
• If the error consistently happens on the
same slot, try different tape cartridges in
that slot.
◦ If the failure remains with the same
slot, the magazine might be at fault.
◦ If the failure follows the tape
cartridge, the tape cartridge might be
at fault.
• If the device is performing an operation
that automatically returns a tape
cartridge to a certain slot, make sure that
another tape is not loaded in that slot.
• Run the wellness test
